Frequently Asked Questions

When will my pottery be ready to collect?

Hand & Footprint Pottery

We aim for your hand/footprint pottery to be ready to collect approximately two weeks after you place your order with us. However, at our busiest times of year our turnaround time will increase, and we will advise you of a rough lead time when we take the prints. Our outprints and imprints do take a little longer to complete ~ these are ready approximately 4-5 weeks after we take the prints. Again this time may increase at our busiest time.

For pop-up events, we will advise you of a collection date from which you can collect your pottery and for studio orders, we will text you when you order is ready so we can arrange a collection date with you.

If you are buying your pottery as a gift, and you need it ahead of a particular date, please do let us know at the point of ordering and we will do our very best to make sure it is ready for collection in time. You may wish to get in touch with us ahead of your visit to see if this is possible.

Ahead of our busiest calendar events; Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas, we stop taking new orders up to 6 weeks ahead of these dates. This means we can ensure that your pottery is ready to collect ahead of these occasions. Our 'Upcoming Events' calendar updated regularly with the latest events you can visit us at.

Your pottery will be ready to collect from the location you ordered from. At our studio, we have a contactless collection shed which we will arrange a convenient date for you to collect from. At our pop-up studio events and baby groups, collection will be from this location on a given date. We are happy to offer collection from an alternative location whenever possible.

Paint-your-own Pottery

For pottery painted by you at home, at a workshop or party or for pottery painted with Time for Tea, we aim for a two week turnaround time. Once your pottery is ready, we will text you to arrange a convenient today for you to collect from the shed outside of our Kenilworth studio.

Is my child too old or too big to have their hand or foot prints taken?

We take prints from children (and adults!) of all ages and there is really no age or size limit. For older children or adults, we just need to choose the pottery and design carefully to ensure it fits!

'I can't come to your weekday events as I work full-time/my child is at school' ~ when can I visit you?

We make sure we offer at least one 'Saturday Open Studio' event ahead of our key calendar events of Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas. These dates can get booked up fast so do message us well ahead to secure your appointment. Where possible, we are able to offer after school/work appointments on weekdays; if you'd like to make a later booking, please get in touch and we can hopefully find a mutually convenient time. During school holidays we do try to arrange children's 'Paint-your-Own' Pottery workshops and we can help with hand and foot printing at these events. If you are having trouble finding a convenient time to visit, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Where can I collect my pottery from?

Your pottery will be ready to collect from the location you ordered from; at our studio, we have a contactless collection shed which we will arrange a convenient date for you to collect from; at our pop-up studio events and baby groups, you will be able to collect from this location. We are more than happy to offer collection from an alternative location whenever possible.

Do we have to take the prints or complete the artwork ourselves?

We will take the prints for you when you visit us and complete the artwork back at the studio so there's no need to worry! However, if you would like to take the prints yourself at home, or have difficultly bringing your little one to see us, we can provide you with a 'Print-at-Home' kit so that you can take the prints at home and return the pottery to us for the additional artwork. If you would like to print and paint your own pottery, a 'Take-Home' Pottery Painting Kit is a great option.

Once you have taken the prints onto a piece of pottery, can you reuse them on something else?

All of our pottery is individually printed and handpainted so we need to take the hand and foot prints onto each item you order. If you are unable to visit our studio to have prints taken, we can create a hand-painted design for you or provide you with a 'Print-at-Home' kit.

Is my pottery suitable for use in the dishwasher or microwave?

Your hand-painted pottery is not suitable for use in the microwave and we recommend that you hand wash rather than using the dishwasher to keep your pottery looking lovely for longer!

Do you offer postage?

We prefer for you to collect your pottery from us in person as posting carries a risk of breakage which we are unable to insure against. However, if you would like us to post a pottery order, please get in touch and we can let you know if this is possible.

When and how can I pay?

Full payment is taken when your order is placed and we happily accept cash or card payment, including Apple Pay.

Do you have a minimum amount of painters at your parties?

We request a minimum of 8 painters at our children's parties with Milk and Mocha and a minimum of 10 adults for our 'Workshop Style' parties. There is no minimum amount of painters for a 'Host your own' pottery party.
