Who can paint?
Everyone is welcome! You'll find seasonal pottery options suitable for all ages from children to teens and adults. Drop-in pottery painting is available to paint all day every Tuesday and Wednesday including school holidays.
You can also visit and paint pottery painting during the rest of the week (including weekends and school holidays) as long as you book ahead with Milk and Mocha. Please note the slightly different cost for P+P Club on these days.
No previous experience is needed and pottery painting is a wonderfully relaxing way to spend time. An information sheet will be available with tips and advice.
All the glazes used are non-toxic and food safe. This means that your mugs, plates and bowls are all safe to eat and drink from once glazed and fired.
We advise against using a dishwasher to clean and handpainted pottery is not suitable for use in the microwave.
How does it work?
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, there's no need to book ahead to paint-your-own pottery at Milk & Mocha; just pop down, choose your pottery and paint! For any other days, please contact Milk and Mocha to book ahead.
Choose your pottery from the selection in the cafe. There will be a small range of our most popular pottery as well as a seasonal selection which will change throughout the year.
The Milk & Mocha staff will get you started and be there to answer general queries you may have.
Tuesdays and Wednesday Pudding & Pottery Club costs £10pp and includes your painters fee and your choice of pudding from a seasonal selection (gluten and dairy free options available). On any other day the cost is £12.50pp which also includes a soft drink.
Pottery starts at £15 and CASH is preferred for pottery payment (card payments taken for a small transaction fee).
Additional drinks, cake and food is all available to order whilst you paint.
(N.B tables times may be limited to 2 hours at busy times)
When will my pottery be ready?
Once you've finished painting, just leave your pottery with the team at Milk & Mocha. We will then collect it for glazing and firing back at our studio.
The process of glazing and firing in our busy studio means that we aim for a TWO WEEK turnaround on your pottery. Sometimes it can take a little longer over holiday periods.
As soon as your pottery is wrapped and ready for you, we will get in touch and arrange collection from our Kenilworth studio.
We are unfortunately unable to post pottery or guarantee an earlier collection.
(N.B your pottery will be kept for 3 months after your painting date)
