Creative ceramics is a great cross curricular activity and at Crazy Kiln we offer substantial discounts to schools and groups. Children can paint a plate, mug, bowl or tile in the style of a studied artist or period in histroy, or they can get their hands dirty and make something from clay!
Both Laura and Diana are experienced potters and we offer a wide range of projects that can be adapted to suit the topic your children are studying. Recent works include Greek pots, clocks, character coil pots, bird feeders, cauldrons, masks, wind chimes and flower planters. Clay projects are best done over two weeks and you are welcome to bring the children to us, or we can just as easily come to you. All staff at Crazy Kiln have an enhanced CRB check.
A ceramic project, either painting or making, is also an ideal way for Scouts, Cubs, Brownies and Guides to gain their craft badges.
However, Ceramics is not just for children. Crazy Kiln is an ideal venue for workforce team building events. A session at Crazy Kiln offers a unique opportunity to promote better communication and understanding between colleagues in a relaxed and friendly environment. You can choose whether your team members decorate individual items or work on one large ceramic project. Please call us to discuss your needs.
